The Colorado Attorney General’s office unveiled a series of legislative proposals aimed at protecting consumers from unscrupulous foreclosure consultants. Two men who claimed they were owner-occupant purchasers in order to bid on HUD properties during the initial bid period were fined $5,000 each and placed on probation.
